Maria Espinoza

I am a native Sacramentan who was educated through the parochial style of teaching. I attended St. Patricks as well as graduated from Bishop Manogue HS. I also graduated from CSU, Sacramento with a degree in Criminal Justice. The type of education I received growing up was rigid and uniformed with no real wiggle room for learning style.

I started working in education while I was employed at the Sacramento County Office of Education but I soon found an opportunity to work for a charter school in Sacramento in 2007. I have worked for charters even since. I am a firm believer in charter schools such as Choices because they offer students and families high quality educational options that for many would not be accessible. It also offers a chance to acquire academic skills in a style that fits a student’s mode of learning. What makes Choices extraordinary? The relationships built between students and teachers and the feeling of acceptance for all.

Fluent is English and Spanish.
